Linda Greaves came home a winner after the Cotton Pickin’ Plein Air Paint Out held in Boston and Thomasville, Ga., in mid-October.
The four-day event, hosted by Pines & Palms (The Georgia-Florida Artists Association), featured nearly four dozen regional artists. Out of more than 200 artworks in the event, her painting, titled “Alive and Well” (11 x 14, oil), was among 12 selected for Pines & Palms’ 2019 calendar. The calendar will be circulated and sold throughout the region.
“I was so surprised and so happy about the honor,” Greaves said. “It’s very exciting.”
She has been invited back to Thomasville for a painting event during the city’s 32nd annual Victorian Christmas in mid-December.
